During the storage or use of rubber or rubber products, the phenomenon of aging due to the simultaneous receipt of heat and oxygen in the air is called thermal oxygen aging. Thermal oxygen aging is the aging that occurs in all kinds of rubber and its products at all times, and is the main cause of rubber damage. 200 ℃以下发生热氧老化，氧是引起老化的主要因素，热只是起到了活化氧化、加快氧化速度的作用。 The rubber undergoes thermo-oxidative aging below 200 ℃. Oxygen is the main cause of aging. Heat only plays a role in activating oxidation and accelerating the oxidation rate.
Factors affecting thermal oxygen aging:
1. The influence of the molecular structure of raw rubber: the structure of rubber molecules is different, the location where oxidation occurs, the difficulty of oxidation, the rate of oxidation, the structure changes during oxidation, and the oxidation products are different.
2. The effect of vulcanization: The vast majority of rubber is used after vulcanization. After vulcanization, not only the body network structure is formed, but also the chemical composition of the rubber has changed. Cross-linking bonds, extra-network substances generated by the interaction of the complexing agents with each other, and the mutated structure generated by vulcanization will all affect the oxidation behavior of rubber.
